Trade Unions strike

Hi good afternoon the trade unions  of my country seems to be planning a day of protest in June. These unions leaders seem not to be getting through with the current talks they are having with the present government so I wonder if this strike will have any effect at this time I mean from my previous blog I have stated stand up and demand more I also stressed in a peaceful manner without violence but these trade union seems to be frustrated after all many have lost their members due to retrenchment and are trying to take a stand before they don't have no more members to represent.

Trade Unions claim government has wage war against them and as I stated in a previous blog to me the government has been one step ahead of these union leaders so I don't know if they have come up with a new plan to help workers from being sent home, if so that great news what will be better news is if they can get back those workers who were retrenched their jobs back, but they seemed to be united this time in a fight they say they are prepared for but I have heard this talk before and hope for workers sake they are coming with their best. It takes a lot to be a trade union leader right now in Trinidad because of the fact you can't save your members from being sent home.

Now that's  the unions are planning this day of action will workers support these actions with all the laying that has happened, the current people who still have their jobs will they risk supporting this type of action, it will have people willing as always but no one wants to lose what they have despite how little it pays. Trade Unions have not gotten a pay raise for their member for six years now and might not be able to secure any pay increase soon, the working force need to consider their options. If these trade unions wants the people support in my view they need to step up their game 100 percent and tackle issues and start back safe guarding workers and show they can stand their ground and then the people will be back with them till then we just have to see how it plays out but i wish them luck and till the next on this has been Chris discussing daily topics.
